The first cut is the deepest

The first cut is the deepest

A Poem by Onlyme

The first cut is the deepest
The first time I felt.
The first time. I connected.
The first time I  see.

The first time became a habit,
away to express.
The pain,
The hurt,
The depression,
The anger,
The frustration.
The disconnection.

To someone, I can rely on
Someone who does helps.
Someone I can express
myself to.

The first cut is the deepest.
The first cut is a short-term release.
alass does not solve the problem.
But it lessens the load a bit.

Tremendous honesty here. This is the way to feel and to express. The healthy way. I like the use of repetition to underscore the meaning. Well done. Keep it up.

Wow, although I feel obliged to challenge the point that the first cut is always the deepest, these words of yours are very powerful indeed and you also seem to have some personal insight into what we call tension release.....If this is being written from a personal point of view and therefore a very public self disclosure, I admire your honesty but would urge you to share your feelings, thoughts, doubts and fears with someone who can be totally objective and help you move forward... Thank you for posting and I wish you well... All Good Things, Neville
