K.M.H.A Poem by openbsd girl
In the silence of a Summer dream,
where nature parts her curtains; I drew the last breath, between these parting lips. Hung low the lantern, meant for Winter’s hush; and skipped a stone. Your voice could no longer be heard, amid the mire; and yet I found, in vibrant dreams, the moisture of a one-time presence. Like skipping stones, rattling a peaceful stream; the presence of God at work. Our night was filled, with lust & violence; but planted here, on the edge of eternity; may mingle with The Lord. I shut my eyes perchance to dream, of the sound song of perseverance. May it lull me to order & peace, in sweet Mary’s lap. © 2024 openbsd girl |
