Valentines.

Valentines.

A Poem by Paige Allison Willmont

Today's that day where
you go out of your way
to share the love.

The way you hope that
he had gotten you something.

I love you, I do.
But I see no sense of sharing
one day of love.

Why not a life time
of love and caring?

Ha! leave it to people to try and box love into a single day or box of chocolate to fit their busy work lives and call it "even" without needing to truly offer themselves to love. I have nothing against valentines day, it's a wonderful holiday if you celebrate it right, but this idea of "buying love for a day"that it seems to generate is sad indeed, something you portray so perfectly in this poem.

A very sweet poem. If you think this is bad, then I would love to read your best. This poem wasn't bad by any means.

not horrible at all. Ebbs and flows. In the moment. Nice. :)

This is a simple though beautiful way of speaking your mind and opinion. Others cannot do so. Nice flow to it.
