Southern Weekends

At last it's Friday
lets take a drive out of town,
down the back roads.
What do ya say?
While wearing some Bluejeans
and blaring
Country Music,
the winds blowing
through my blond hair.
This is the life
no one is here to mess it up,
just me and you.
Along the river, in the woods
we got a big ole
campfire.
Why not love this?
How could you hate this?

Makes me wish all the more that summer would get here so I could have my own campfire instead of being cooped up from the cold. I enjoyed the read.

The poem is pretty good. It gives you a good sense of being out in the country and enjoying where you are.

I like the feeling and concept behind this poem but I believe it could definitely be revised I found the ending kind of disjointed, "why not love this, how could you hate this"
I felt as if these two lines were essentially saying the same thing. I would suggest maybe describing exactly what those weekends were like using more metaphorical language, give the reader more of a sense of the feeling you get during those times and expand on the idea and I think this could become a promising write.

Sounds like a good life. The back roads always win. You managed to portray that feeling of Friday finally coming around again so well. Pity it's not here now though :)
