Your New Home SIP

Your New Home SIP

A Poem by Laconic Meraki
"

For the loved ones who have pasted away that I will forever hold dearly and close to my heart.

"
When im missing you the most, I find myself staring up at the stars.
Wishing your new home wasn't so very far.
Sometimes I'm angry with God-asking him questions like why? I scream and I yell towards the sky.
If there was a way for me to grow wings identical to yours, straight to you I would surely fly. My empty broken heart would then mend. What I would do just to see your grin.
I'm not okay but for show I pretend. What keeps me alive is knowing one day I will see you again. I'm still needed here -so here is where I have to stay. Repeating "you're the strongest person I know" because that is what you always said to me.
I pray for you every night under the sky while staring up at the stars- wondering where and how you are .
You're in heaven with all of the Angels, but I know during the toughest times you are still by my side.
Inside of me- my mind,my heart and soul you'll forever reside.

One of the most heartfelt tributes I've read to someone who's passed. I love the way you SHOW instead of tell, so we can picture the narrator screaming with raised fist, questioning & yet accepting at the same time . . . the best part is the quote from the departed: "you're the strongest person" . . . this helps your message pop with a vivid connection, so we can know & feel the person being missed (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Relate to this as my old mum passed away last April. The pain slowly subsides but unexpected tears still take me by surprise

What a heartfelt homage you pay to a loved one, Christa. Your words are beautiful. Some 'reviewers' below lack tact, others miss the point of your poem. You GLOW with your love and with your words. --Ralph

Thank you so much! And, I'm still a work in progress. Stay tuned.
This is a good write, but I'm afraid I have to be "that guy" for a minute. From this read it's obvious to me that you believe in God and that's wonderful. If you do, never, ever lose that faith.

But...there's something you need to know, and it's going to be hard for yout to accept, but you need to know and others here do too in case they've believed this untruth: your family members, if they're in Heaven with Jesus, CANNOT see you from where they are, and are NOT smiling down on you.

Let me explain. Heaven is a place of love, joy, and happiness where no tears are ever shed. If your family members could see you down here, it would bring back painful memories of their past, human lives here. God cannot allow suffering in Heaven, and so that is why He cannot allow your family, friends, and loved ones to see you from Heaven. There are no holes in Heaven from where they can look down and see you.

It's a hard, bitter truth, but it's a mercy for both parties in the general sense. I hope you understand.

I'm humbled by your ability. If I had to suggest anything, I would suggest you spacing out the sentences a bit.
