Not One Without The Other

Not One Without The Other

A Poem by Iz

I know you have a gentle side that you are hiding from everyone.
I saw you cry last night when you heard a neighbor's kitten died.
I saw you hug a grieving mother when you thought no one was looking.
I heard you scream in agony when you had your heart broken.
I watch you sleeping and you have an innocent look on your face.

You are rough and tough in front of the guys,
but soft and cuddly when it's just you and me.
You are a tyrant in front your business partners,
but you give in or compromise with me every second of our life.
You are like a tiger with a thorn in it's paw when you are mad,
but you are sweeter than cotton candy with me no matter what I have done.

You are a conundrum to most,
but I have the keys to you.
You are a tiger on the prowl,
but I am the tiger tamer.
You are a drowning person in a squall,
but I am the life saver that is wrapped snuggly around you.

You and I are a perfect couple.
We both need each other to survive.
Without one there is not need for the other.

I just wanted you to know my dear,
I need you just as much as you need me.
I love you so much baby!
You hold my heart in the palm of your hand.
