Life Anew

Oh my dear,
The rain is gently pattering on the window
The sky is quickly becoming black as night
as the clouds came into the valley
I could feel life begin anew
I rush out into the cold
just to feel the first drops of rain
I love how they just wash everything away
I welcome the storm
because after it has gone
life will not be the same
I will not be the same
I will have seen all of the violence and destruction
And know I have survived this
therefore I can survive anything
