Just Waiting

Just Waiting

A Poem by Iz

Each time I look into your eyes I see something
Just a brief glance and then it's gone
Did I really see it
Or was it just a figment of my imagination

No I saw it I'm pretty sure
I now see it in your body language
How you move slowly closer to me
And drape your arm cautiously around my sholders

You're hiding it from everyone
I don't think you don't even know yourself
If you did would you let me know
Would you tell me it's true from within

How long must I wait until
I hear it from your sweet mouth
Until it's no longer hidden in the depths of your eyes
Just scream it for the whole world from the roof tops

I have known it for awhile myself
This secret I too have kept buried
And trust me you have never had to question
What is in my eyes or heart it's always been there

These have been your's forever and always will be
There hasn't been a doubt even for a heartbeat
If a movie star was to walk by my side
A minute of my time is all he's going to get not a breath more
