A Secret

A Secret

A Poem by Iz

Well my dears,
I'm off to think about the one that holds my heart in his hand.
And he doesn't even know it.
Should I tell him?
No my dear heart, I shall not.
Perhaps tis sleep is all that I need.

Or tis me confessing to him?
Oh, why can't I make up my mind?
Why can't I decide what to do?

Oh, Tis not the time perhaps.

Shh, don't tell this secret I have given you.
Don't tell how my pulse races just at seeing him.
Don't tell how my heart stops and waits for him to speak.
Don't tell how I speak of him all of the time.

Promise me, oh friend of mine, that not a soul will know.
Not until I have told him so.
