walking on the edge

walking on the edge

A Poem by onewomanexhibit

it was one of those nights, the sleepless restless nights

the night that you called

the night that call canged it all

within minutes I found myself speeding on the road of love

along the many highways of love and streets of passion

intersections of the truth intersecting with your lies

we live on the moments which lately seem like the only thing keeping us close

the only thing keeping the fire going...

the love alive

open up your eys and see for yourself

when those moments are gone, it's nothing...

we're nothing

and that right there is what scares me to the point of no return

as if this is a game to you

with us playing just us two

but whenever you're ready to call it quits, whenever you call the shots then that's it game over

i'm then left alone to face my pride again

cluless as to why you continue to play these games...

and what's your prize to win in the end

my heart?

my trust?

because all I get is a trophey labled hurt and a name tag labled love's fool

i'm filled with many questions for you titled why...

as my heart speaks to me.

why bother to hear more on going lies?

i can't keep loving you with one foot out the door

whial on my end I continue to exspect more

hoping you'll soon change

hoping my trust you'll soon regain

praying this transition will come sooner than later

praying if not later than never.

trying to recap the past but only to accept it for what it is.
