Atomic Bipolar

Atomic Bipolar

A Poem by Chase

When you feel it building...
filling you up with something that
can hardly be described as
anything
but power.

The rigidity of your skin holds at bay
the energy that longs to be released...
Until the pressure is so great
that the smallest of pins
to prick your
now thin skin
puncture.

The energy is expended
with a radius of destruction
that bows all before it;
laying waste to everything in its path.

Wow! As a bipolar myself, I know what you mean first hand. Don't you worry, you are singing to a choir. I'm centered now. I check my journal, and I see for instance rage that took place on a particular date 3 weeks ago, and I ask myself: why the hell did I do that TIMES 12 years since I was diagnosed in 2008 of why did I do that and on and on..As soon as I read "When you feel it building" your poem spoke to me..keep it up and visit my page when you got time..blessings
