A Poem by Chase

When forced to choose between
evil one
or evil two
I am the abstaining three.

You do you and
I'll do me.

Pretty powerful words for being such a short piece .. The thoughts provoked by this could fill chapters...Awesome.

Thank you(:
In a way, I feel like I can relate this piece here to how I've been with the U.S election this year. Instead of choosing either Clinton or Trump, I just didn't vote (mainly due to a mix of college and just forgetting to actually research the candidates enough to compare and contrast them). And the last line concisely summarizes how I feel about the protests against Trump right now. Wait, I'm here to review, not get political. Anyway, this is a nice free-verse piece. It's straight to the point and seems as if it just flowed out without stutter or hesitation. Good job. :)
