Being Green

Being Green

A Poem by Chase

It's odd     this attachment.
It comes when it is neither wanted
  nor warrented.
It fills my chest with something...
    strange;
        a hash of rage,
   and something close to    pain.

I've read this a few times and have come back to it with my first question I wondered before. That is, I'm still trying to figure out what this is about. When reading it I get the sense it could just be a build up of emotions internally, or it could be something/someone externally making you feel this? I'm curious about the title though, that is what is throwing me off. Really well written like always. My favorite line is, "a hash of rage, and something close to pain."
