Uncertainty

Uncertainty

A Poem by Chase

I stumble my days around the world
with not a clue of on what I tread.
The sight that once was
has now left.
My feet inch forward slow
as eroding sand
and my hands stand out in front,
with fingers stretched long and
head held back
for fear
of what might be.

I've read this a few times - The first two lines are probably my favorite, but the whole poem flows very well. I'm picturing all of this happening in some slow-mo fashion. I just imagine the path with the poles and the signs that are saying "go this way" or "go to the future." (If that makes sense)
