A Poem by Chase

-My bookshelves, overflowing with the accumulated odds, ends, and memories.

-The willow tree who stands guard, out front.
From branch to brawn, it has now surpassed the house in size;
draping it's tendrils across the lawn:
guardian of the estate and
our privacy.

-Each of us, my family, in the same room again; comfortably. Amiably.

- 2:00am. The only sound in the house being the just warm air from the corn-stove, as it takes away the bite of a chilling winter night.

While also giving me
just enough light,
to read by.
