Babbling Solidarity

Babbling Solidarity

A Poem by Chase

The current of life is one we all come across
and one that we, each of us, must take in stride with ourselves.
No more the need of the many while we choose the course best for US.
Throw away the inheritance and take up something far more daring.
Far scarier than anything else,
yet more rewarding as well.
Dispose of what you have been given
and take, instead, what you have earned.
Can you look back on the day and see it worth reliving?
Worth saving the memory?
The means adding up to the ends?
Have you done all you can to distance that birthright
purely to create your own?
Don't take the free pass in life.
Earn your way down every path.
Earn it.
