Another Day

Another Day

A Poem by Chase

Once again the sun rises

Lying on dew coated grass, conscious

Beaten down and broken

In a world so cold

Crisp morning air stabs at lungs

Kneeling, standing

Body aches and moans, protest

Donning a faded leather jacket

Accelerated heat through limbs

Blue sky above

Worn path below

Behind

Before

To meander

With a purpose

Progress
