Tidal Wave

The ebb and flow of ocean waves
Carry me out through storms
Calmer waters have been felt
With indifference's torn

Through clear blue waters
I see myself
A different side
With different health

Shes trapped below the surface
Without a helping hand
Pain etched on her face
An agonizing brand

Oncoming fate, waiting
Staring calmly ahead
Inevitable things, sure to happen
No matter which way I'm lead

Consumed by waves and water
Going with the flow
Slowly sinking under

Whoa, that was a strong ending. It really pulled the poem together. I got a really calm vibe off of this poem. I really like your use of imagery, it help me picture things. Great write and well done.

i might not know the situation you are speaking of, but i can really relate to these words. overall wonderful piece.

Thank you!! I actually came up with the last two lines first. I do that a lot.. then build a poem from it. I find that a strong ending is better than a strong beginning, if you have to choose one:p
