Flame

Flame

A Poem by Chase

Versatile to the last
Bringer of life, and death
A thing of beauty overwhelming
Expelling heat with every breath
Licking gently upon others
Curious to the taste
Mesmerized by shimmering colors
No energy will it waste
Felt within, intriguing many
Inspiring greatness, and horror
Controlling this beautiful thing
Is a full time chore
A length of love and passion
The winner of a soul
Emanating what we feel
It, you must control
