A Gift

A Gift

A Poem by Chase

To ease your mind when it won't sleep
Your attention they shall keep
Hopefully to captivate
To stay the boredom, be at bay
To tame the overbearing beast
And get through us, piece by piece
We shall be yours, as we did for him
Providing security from life, on a whim
Don't be shy, turn our pages
Pain and love, through the ages
Delve into us and you shall see
The better half you love of me
