Loving The Beast

She saw the light in his dark soul.

To tame the beast, 

She threaded lightly, 

being true to who she was.

She felt the danger. 

However, she remained.

He never touched a hair on her beautiful little head. 

She knew he cared. 

Fell in love with the beast. 

As the lion loved the lamb. 

Nature took its course, 

The beast devoured in his darkness

Stalked, & took her, in a paralyzed sleep. 

Haunted by the unknown. 
She was left loss & alone. 

By guilty conscious 

The beast confessed. 

Silenced by truth. 

He set free of her demons.

Left, only of LOVE. 

From her & her beast. 

Who she still believed in.

This hits me on such a personal level - having a thing for not necessarily bad guys - but dark, depressed, crazy drug addicts. But really I think this is such a raw piece that anyone can relate - love and betrayal. I am obsessed with your work now!
