Could I ever really be in love with someone else?

I tell him how I feel, I treat him as if he's the heavens..

He will always have my helping hand, my shoulder to cry on,.

.....He will always have me. 

On the other hand, we are not together. 

He is taken.

I am just a friend. 

I sit and talk to other men, 

flirt and manipulate into thinking maybe there could be more.

When that moment surpasses,

when all the sweet words were said

and done. There really is 

......Nothing. 

 

I look for my heart, it does not beat. 

I look into my soul, it hides from me. 

There's my GUILT. 

.....Then I think of him. 

Where should I stand, 

if there's no grey in my black & white. 

.....In my reality or in my dream?

Fighting with your head and heart, could leave you standing between your reality, & your hopes and dreams. A situation not to be taken lightheartedly.

You describe the agony of unreciprocated love beautifully......Sometimes it is not clear how it happened.....everything seemed to have pointed towards things working out.....and then suddenly, priorities changes.....some crisis took place.....and everything changed forever.

The age-old jigsaw puzzle of loving someone who is not available for the taking. Having him at your fingertips yet so far away, unreachable. I really like what I've read so far, you seem to have a unique style that is quite stark...yet refreshing. Again, you word arrangement and word choices are top notch.
