Doomed Nights

Doomed Nights

A Poem by TheOne&Only

As I lay me down to sleep.

My heartache beats.

As a tear may creep,

it's way down thy cheeks.

The still nights moon,

Shines alone.

Here I am.

Wishing upon it's darkened gloom,

To hold close

So that we may not ever be alone.

Let the black skies.

Be a map.

A way for lonesome souls of two,

Comet stones.

Find their home sweet home.

So as we lay there one alone.

We loom.

Guided by our moon.

So that every night apart.

We find each other not in a gloom.

But in the light winds

Goodnight tune.

From me.

From you.

..... our nightly doom.

I enjoyed this write... it was creative and beautiful. "Let the black skies.
Be a map in disguise.
A way for lonesome souls of two,
Comet love struck stones.
Find their home sweet home."

I love those lines in particular... great job :)
