My Soul To Take

It is overwhelming.
Drowning even.
It's a constant struggle.
A tug-a -war
Between myself and strength.
Is it real or fake.

Complaining does nothing for me.
Crying brings the pain.
Peace is all I want.
Forgiveness is what I seek.
From who you may ask?
.....myself.

Is death the answer to
My lost prayer.
Who knows.
.....I cannot speak to the dead.

I lost myself some time ago.
At times I remember who I once was.
But I can never come back.
My mind flutters.
As my emotions shutter.
......My heart, well it's some where there.

As for my soul
I cannot find her.
....that's my greatest fear.
But I hope one day
........God may take it.
