To love never lost and yet never fully discoveredA Poem by N.E. St. Andrew
To love never lost and yet never fully discovered:
An impending sense of destiny, Swims beneath your embrace. That which has been deprived of me, But the promise never forgotten. Searching for a sense of calm, A meager understanding of my intended path; Whilst lulled into a potentially toxic fantasy. The promise of affection and praise, In all of it's pure and animalistic intrigues, Is mine to pine for, Until the conditions of life are at their prime. By chance, If I have disgraced my purpose; By choice, if I have forsaken my credibility; To find solace in another's embrace, would be blasphemy. The notion seems so distant and moot ... Yet my spirit can not help, but to yearn for its fruition. © 2014 N.E. St. AndrewReviews
