I hope you think of me when it thunders.

I hope you think of me when it thunders.

A Poem by H.R
"

Getting broken up with sucks sometimes.

"
I hope you think of me when it thunders.
And I hope you remember what we had.
I hope you get floods of our memories, all the good times we had.
Watching otters at the zoo
dancing in your kitchen
singing in the car
reading the fault in our stars
laying on your bed
being content doing absolutely nothing
sitting on my lap in the white piano room
every day, without fail.
I hope you also remember the not so good times.
the arguments (I still refuse to say fights)
the yelling
the crying.
But then, remember how it always ended in a kiss.
I want you to remember.
Remember my hands on your back
entwined in your hair
clasped in yours
on your cheek.
Remember my lips on yours
on your forehead
on your scars
on your neck.
Remember my teeth biting down on your collarbones.
on your shoulder
on ear
on your bottom lip.
Remember my arms holding you
supporting you
protecting you
being there for you.
Remember my voice saying how much I love you
talking about our future (a kid, two pugs, an outdoor wedding)
singing to you
telling you that it would be okay, that I would never leave you.
I want you to remember me, and remember us,
because I sure as hell won't forget.
