Evangelist Funmise Roy: On a New Beginning

It's about a memory from boarding school and how it answers to present issues in my personal diary

On a very spiritual day

I stood before a magical mirror,

staring at a faceless being,

unperturbed about being a dangerous twin,

requesting,

“Bring me before King Peleg,

who carved a word,

that split a slab of stone,

for his beautiful woman,

in a land like Ham,

where two clothed stones,

played,

in pioneering fires

 

At a time Evangelist Funmise flagged a conundrum,

in 2005

“A New Beginning”

I awoke early every day,

knowing latecomers would be punished,

with praying in their dreams,

and solving assignments in sleep,

 

Back in boarding school

This breathed softly,

as through the tip of my pen

“A winning team”,

Heads of Federal Government Establishments,

in Osogbo,

dished out awards,

a nurturing grace,

resembled an organic antenna for a strong will

Alao Taiwo, unless I am lost in translation I am reading how you prepared for a great day but you were filled with an emotion thinking you do not
deserve something great. In the end you are rewarded the award something you didn't think you deserved. There are many reasons to doubt and the are more and better ones to believe you are right where you are supposed to be. Great Job Alao Taiwo and Thank you for sharing and God Bless
