With Hate

With Hate

A Poem by Omar Nazario

Who’s that, displeased

Certain of uncertainty

Eased by bitterness

Disgusted and letdown

Why do you cry, you

Misanthrope

The tedium’s struck

No modest reply

Dance, dance, don’t cry

Casanova detested

Hypocrite of the world

Why do you scream, you

No profanity limited

Nurse that shadow

Good things from bad come

Keep it there, stop

Stop screaming, they know

Hush, hush, see, they know

Why do you cry, you

They know, they know

Rejoice, why don’t you

This was a very good poem! I really liked it. This is a true poem; often times we spend so much time hating when we could spend that energy rejoicing. There was this quote from Carlos Castenada "We either make ourselves miserable or we make ourselves strong. The amount of effort is the same." And I think this poem personifies that quote.

I really enjoyed reading this. Thank you for writing.
