So Well

So Well

A Poem by Mary Ochoa

It's been quite awhile

my friend

The person I turn to for

comfort

loving

wisdom

So much has evolved

Where to begin

I've met someone

Oh he is so wonderful

Listen to my words

I plead for that

As I speak of so many lovely things about him

My soul, it doesn't know what to do

he's captured it in a way

That's simply unforgettable

Moments created with him

Can never be broken down

Not with a bang

Flip

Or flop

The thing is

My veins throb for his flesh

Denying pleasure to my sins became impossible for me

Oh but he knows it so well

Throbs so hard for him

He drives me mad

Everything I try to hide

He won't allow it

Ahh Darling

He knows it so well

Makes me laugh, cry, scream endlessly through the night

Importantly, he taught me to not shame oneself

so I say to you my friend

The person I turn to for

comfort

loving

wisdom

how can I conquer the doubts that dagger the pearls within me to believe that he will truly be mine always and forever?

I like the positive feel of the words.

The above lines. The place we need to be with someone we care for. Thank you Mary for sharing the excellent poetry.

It is a fascinating piece examining the power of desire and the fear of the fire dying off. It reads very well, a nice prose piece.
