Touching the LightA Poem by OmarIt is beautiful The most beautiful thing my mind has ever conceived! It blinds me. With its Energy Energy. . . Light filters from its surface Like strands of golden cream cascading onto my face I reach out to touch it But touching the light is like Reliving a memory Of something that never really happened It is like clicking all the colorful buttons Of the soul’s elevator Like breathing sparks etched onto the imagination Like making love to a ghost The bubbles of air leave my mouth like white angels Buoyantly floating up Leaving me The bright colors blend like mosaic Rainbow pearls Floating as if they are planets above me The dance and dance and swirl around I am at peace Because I know Even if I will never touch it, That I will not breathe again" That the end is but an inch below me In charcoal indigo and purple I can sink knowing that My mind Was graced by conceiving Its beauty © 2010 OmarFeatured Review
