PetalsA Poem by Omar
Let the magic glitter settle
So I can have a lucid vision Of my epiphanies Post-Afterglow When the stardust fades And dusk prevails I embrace the iciness Let it puncture me, Like thorns Embed itself Under my skin Drown itself, Into my veins And shock my blood, To what is Wake me Justify, The vague thoughts Into lucid sentiments The confusion into Stability Now I can hear my own heartbeats And my eyes can understand My state of mind tears fall And now, I see I hear I feel I breathe Now, I realize My own emotions Picking the false petals Of uncertainty And ambivalence, Of a vague, vague you As I wonder, wonder, wonder Into a core as sweet as honey, Tainted with tears Tears of parting, sailing ships But of the purest shade Of purest bliss And certainty, A clearer silhouette A stable sketch A vivid outline Of you I am, Aware of what is And what has always been Aware of the heart-shaped fingerprints And footsteps to match, Which you've painted on my spirit © 2008 OmarReviews
