ButterflyA Poem by OmarNo, I am not in love. Well... I used to be...
Found your name In a butterfly In its wings Immortalized Found myself Floating carelessly With your name Gliding next to me Found the blue The blue of sky Like drops of dew In your eyes Found eternity in your words Found a petal ocean world Found your soul in a flower Caught my mind round the hour In the summer shine of June I soared on fragile wings Sleepless nights, when I would croon Melancholy—as my heart sinks What I once thought was all there is As if I brushed the height of sky Turned out to be a mere prologue— I haven't begun living my life I used to be so lost In the traffic of my mind Now I'm lost in your emotions I left the senselessness behind You broke me out of my cocoon Where I used to die, I used to mourn You threw me to the heart of sky Now I am… a butterfly You make things so meticulous Like pain and worries, don't exist You changed me in a million ways My olden life will not be missed
I've tried to change it I've tried to hide I tried to make believe tonight You wouldn't call, or make it right As if the stars vanish to night Like an angel, from the sky You fall and dive into my eyes No matter what, I can't deny I see your name— In butterflies © 2008 OmarReviews
