The Demon in my mindA Poem by oluchi
Don't give me your answer, they're never the truth;
For the lies I get from you are enough to end our lives; These cracks turn my frown into a smile; And all along you thought I was happy And at the end if i hurt you Don't blame me for something you did We found love when the grasses were brown; I should have known better; Nothing good comes in the dry season; You made it loom like it was okay; To find love in a hopeless place' Slit my throat and take away my voice; The silence would still kill you; It doesn't matter if you run into the arms of another; I would always bring the darkness into your daylight. Today is the day we will have our final riots; And to tomorrow we will celebrate our victorious defeats. © 2016 oluchi |
