XIX. The sea kissed lips

XIX. The sea kissed lips

A Poem by Madison.

Once upon a time
In a far away land
The dream of a boy
With a girl in his hand.
With love in their eyes
And a secret in their hearts
The promise of a promise
could never break apart.
Up against a world
Jealous of their innocence
The fight for a life
And a love so pure.
They sang no songs
Of deep regrets,
Their bond unbroken
By envious pursuers.
They ran past Dawn
And against the night,
To the ends of the earth
In search of some light.
And again beyond
The knowledge of man.
Greeted by Venus,
The goddess of Love
Nettled with Envy,
Anger consumed in a jealous rage.
For never could she
Have a love so true and fair.
So deceiving and luring,
She led them by hand.
She led them by hand
To their watery grave.
With never a guess
As the Sea did kiss
Their frozen blue lips,
Into the depths
Of betrayal they fell--
A smile on their lips
And the promise in their hearts,
Together they fell.

Together they kissed
The Sea's luscious lips.

Wow.
I see life as magical and whimsical and this just captivated me completely. It made me tear up. Such beautiful language and a unique concept of love. Brilliant

Thank you so so much.
I enjoyed the whimsical flow....
"She led them by hand" {appears twice }
does not seem "So deceiving and luring,"

nice story line, sucked me in...good write!
