Wrigley Grass (Castro Sings the Blues)

Wrigley Grass (Castro Sings the Blues)

A Poem by Olmsted A. T.
"

This is the second of the 2 Cubs inspired songs I have written. This one is actually the more relevant of the two considering the history made in 2016.

"
Wrigley Grass (Castro Sings the Blues)

Please don't trade me to New York

Wrigley grass stains on my cleats

that don't want to spend my nights

walking those damn dirty streets

I loathe the f*****g Yankees

and I hate the f*****g Mets

never liked the Giants

and could barely stand the Jets

The Rangers always made me

root for the other team

The Nicks I think play basketball

Which means fuckall to me

rather stay rostered in Chicago

And knock-back a more few beers

With Bill Murray and the Cubbies

the Blackhawks and Da Bears

Theo Joe please don't say that it's so

Sure I've had my ups and downs this year

This is true i know

But think of all the good times we had in seasons past

and don't send me to that cesspool is that too much to ask

They can't make pizza worth a f**k

it's the worst I've ever tried

it's full of grease and flimsy

as that dick Arod's alibi

with their corrupt morality

I know I won't fit in

like a Jedi knight in a den

full of steroidal Sith

Their team Is chock full of a******s

and swear their s**t don't smell

I wish a poorly executed take off

would send them straight to hell

No pity for the devil

for his new denizens

while he's at it take the Cardinals

And let the games finally commence

Theo Joe - please don't say that it's so

sure I've had my ups and downs this year

This is true I know

let me stay another season

and find redemption with team

and help the Cubs win the series in 2016
