Hazmat

Hazmat

A Poem by Olmsted A. T.
"

A ballad in the vein of the Ramones. Or my version of the vein of the Ramones.

"
Hazmat

Little Miss Magic
oh girl I don't know what to do
Little Miss Magic
sugar I've become stuck on you

When you turn your eyes my way
your smile brightens up my day
I must say I enjoy the spell
you're casting on me

Little Miss Magic
oh goddess devine
Little Miss Magic
a prime example of superb design

When you speak to me
I feel my knees get weak
and a funny sunny feeling
starts setting over me

Little Miss Magic
oh baby you're the most
Little Miss Magic
let's watch Space Ghost Coast to Coast

In love's mystery
you're the biggest clue
a communicable disease
that's gotten through
my heart's hazmat suit

And after all this time
spent staring at my shoes
I thought that I was safe
and totally immune

Little Miss Magic
you're more addictive than caffeine
Little Miss Magic
you smell like rain and cotton candy dreams

But even as I say these words
I want you to rest assured
that I understand
things can turn out differently
