The Most Toys

The Most Toys

A Poem by Olmsted A. T.

The Most Toys

Give up your independence to be part of their machine

purchase a picket fence support community actively

squeeze out some kids to haul around in a your SUV

spend the weekend glued to the game

Make sure your neighbors envy your manicured lawn

covet your trophy wife and wealth earned at your corporate job

support each and every deed restricted clause

and if they cross the line then call the cops

What the hell happened to

the greatest - the land of the free

when did America become so damn diseased

home to the unenlightened brave

oppressed by a zealous religious state

complacent self-centered f*****g sheep

They're here to protect and serve

your interests and your greed

make sure no one drops a deuce

under your expensive tree

capitalism is such a beautiful

shade tree f*****g dream

remember he who dies with the most toys wins

He who dies with the most toys

he who dies with the most toys

he who dies with the most toys wins.
