My immortal

My immortal

A Poem by CherryBlossomGirl
"

So many songs inspired me to look deep inside...

"

Rose on the floor, spattered with wine.

In this dark room, where I stand,

From above, it looks like blood of mine.

I lean down, and take it with my hand.

Here, where I stand…

I slowly rip petal by petal,

Watching them fall from above,

And how one by one turns to feather,

Having the shining of an angel love.

Watching, from above…

Then I felt something inside of me,

Growing so fast, trying to get out!

It covered my skin, making me see,

How I became free, without a single shout.

Free, while getting out…

I wanted to speak, but I’ve heard a roar.

And my hands, they were covered with black lines.

I felt no fear…Not anymore.

I felt a power that my mind and heart combines!

Power, with those black lines…

Oh, the weakness…No! Where the power go?!

So sudden I was on my knees,

On the ground, in the wine, I felt so low.

I thought nothing could my pain ease!

Nothing, while on my knees…

I closed my eyes, with hands in my hair,

When I heard music going through my head.

“Soldier of fortune”, I heard: “Beware”.

And everything around me turned to red.

I heard it, in my head…

“Like a sound of a windmill going round”

I knew that melody, it opened my eyes.

It helped me found my new bound.

I felt again I should try to reach the skies.

I knew, it opened my eyes…

I was on my feet again, standing in the room,

There was no dark anymore.

The melody in my head made me assume:

We are all both poor and the mighty roar.

Yes, no dark anymore…

This path of life is good, tho’ it has so many door…

The power in these lines is immense...the story is quite wonderful in poetic form. Many people have written things about thier "immortal", but you have taken this to a level that exceeds most of what I have seen written thus far. Quite breathtaking, truly...
