I'll wait

I'll wait

A Poem by CherryBlossomGirl
"

Dedicated to One that will come

"

And still I stand and wait for thee.

While the moon shivers above me.

I took a deep breath and lowered my head.

I knew then…My heart is dead.

With my back against the cold wall,

I wait for you, tho’ I feel so small.

And I wish you could see me there,

How I, for you my love, breathe this air.

For a moment I thought I saw you.

I could swear! Ah…I wish it was true.

But it was somebody else that passed.

He moved so fast, he could not last…

Tears won’t kill me, this heart will love again.

I’ll be here on the sun and in the rain!

This cold wall won’t take me down.

My love, for you I will never frown!

Oh…Sometimes, I just wanna close my eyes,

And listen to how my heart dies…

Yes! Dies for you with every heart beat!

God! Help me, make my heart complete!

I still stand there, and I will always wait.

Hoping that you’ll be the one, brought by the fate.

I’ll take a deep breath and lower my head.

Hoping that you’ll wake up my heart that’s dead…

I love this! I just feel like I can so relate to this poem, that someone out there will find me and wake the love inside me. This is just perfect reflection into how people before relationships, out of relationships may feel and can relate too. Such powerful moments right there! Awesome, can't wait to read more!

This is a powerful and emotional piece
The decision to wait is priceless....it's timeless
You are going to be so greatful and serene knowing that you waited
Joy and waiting for true love is better than enduring mere emotions

Beautifully written, I only found a few mistakes with this piece.

'With my backs against the cold wall,' backs should be back.

'I still stand there, and I will for always wait.' the word 'for' seems out of context.

Other than these two errors I feel this was a very well written poem.
