Sorry

Sorry

A Poem by Olivia Nolte

My mind knows what my heart should want

But my heart keeps telling my mind that she’s wrong

You were nothing but a mid-day haunt

But Christ Almighty it’s been so f*****g long

Your lips tasted like Jack

Your eyes burned like it, too

Honestly, I’d take it all back

Stay in my room

But it’s too late for that

And I’m so f*****g sorry, but I don’t want you back
