Stray

Stray

A Poem by The Fallen

Following the path you choose

Is always so hard to do

When others try to choose for you

Now is the time to decide will you stay

Or will you stray

You always wanted to stay

Somewhere you belonged

You live with no regrets

Cause you got nothing to loose

So you stray

Convincing yourself it will all be okay

In the cold breeze you walk alone,

Crying the pain of sorrow

You stand on the edge

Staring up at where the moon should be

You have strayed

From the path others have chosen

You will stray

Until you fall

It is alright to stray. Better to walk alone than follow the cattle to the slaughter house. The poem open the door to many questions. I rather walk the good road than be a follower of fool's. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

Intriguing poem, deep to the soul and heart. I find peace in being different and choosing my own routes, I'm sure you believe the same :)

There's so much power behind this and the message that you are trying to get across, and I really liked that you highlighted the same word purple to catch people's eye. I, personally, am one who would rather stray from the norm than forever be like anyone else. I believe you would agree. :)

This vaguely reminds me of when I got arrested. I did strayed...to jail. Ha! Nice work, I think it is better to decided for yourself where you will go and not follow everyone else. Good message with this one, I'd rather walk alone and end up in jail then Follow everyone else and end up somewhere else. No matter where the road takes me i want to make sure I chose it.

Jeez! Others have said what I wanted to say lol but, straying always seems to be the best choice, because there's hardly anyone who can truly smile following a path they haven't chosen themselves. This poem speaks! :D

Straying seems the best choice if people try to live your life for you

Wonderful write.
You realized that staying might not be helpful.
So you have chosen to stray.
You have the courage to stray.
You can fight if someone stops you on your way.
Go ahead,Olivia you will be a "winner" at the end of the day.:)
