Chapter 8- CoronationA Chapter by The FallenheheMy trembling hands reached into the envelop. I pulled out a diamond necklace. Our names were carved in the diamond and on the back it said I love you. I let out a shaky sigh and stared at the sparking gem.My trembling fingers traced out the diamond shape, I wanted to smile but I couldn't. My door bursted open and Nyx stood there staring at me. "Don't lock your door." She said. "I didn't" I countered, though fighting with her would end up badly. For me. "Whatever." She muttered. For her age she was really mature. She whistled and a girl with long brown hair and perfectly tanned skin, came up beside her. She looked about my age or a year older, she had big green eyes and she held a huge poofy blue dress. "Um why does she have green eyes?" I asked. I placed the diamond necklace down on the nightstand. I refused to wear something from someone who left me. "Daddy thought it'd be more normal." Nyx mumbled. "Hi I'm Sephira!" She said. She was really perky for someone who lived in hell. "Hi." I replied and got up from my bed. They both entered my room and shut the door. "Go put this on!" Sephira shoved the dress in my direction. I grabbed it and entered the washroom. I shrugged off my fluffy black pajama pants and took off my tank. I stared at the dress. The last time I wore a dress was graduation in grade eight. I fell off the stage and was embarrassed. I groaned. I stepped into the dress and pulled the top up. I looked for the straps but there was none. "Nyx..Where are the straps." I asked. "It's strapless. Have you never worn a dress before?" She called from the bedroom. "Of course I have!" I exclaimed. "Like five years ago." I mumbled. Nyx pushed open the bathroom door and did up my zipper. "Nyx you can't just walk into a bathroom what if I was naked!" I turned to face her. She shrugged. "You look so good!!!" Sephira squealed. "Thanks." I smiled. Nyx pushed me down onto the ledge of the bathtub. "Make up time." She said simply and made room for Sephira. Sephira carried a huge bag of makeup. Sephira took a seat in front of me, she had a huge grin plastered across her face. She pulled out multiple brushes and makeup trays. Nyx held up a straighter and a brush. This was not going to be fun. ~*~ An hour later, my hair was in curls and it framed my face perfectly. Nyx had placed a rose in my hair. I looked in the mirror and my hair actually looked like it was professionally done. Sephira had decided on a natural look for the make up. Brown eye shadow, black eyeliner and mascara, and peachy coloured lip-gloss. I looked down at the blue dress, it fell perfectly around my ankles and barely showed my black heels. I really did look and feel like a princess from the fairy tales. "You look so pretty!!" Sephira said. Her smile went from ear to ear. "Thanks to you guys." I replied as I exited the crowded bathroom. Nyx and Sephira followed me. "The foyer is all ready and dad is waiting for you." Nyx said. She wore a pink dress that matched mine, and her hair was down and wavy. She was the cutest four year old I've ever seen. "I'll meet you guys there I gotta get changed!" Sephira squeaked then ran out of the room.Nyx looked at me for a moment then followed Sephira out of the room. I sat on my bed with my hands in my lap and awaited my father's voice calling my name. I glanced at the necklace and sighed. I couldn't wear it, it was something I could never bring myself to wear. Why? I got no clue. "And here is my daughter, Destiny!" I heard my name called from the hallway. I got up from the bed and left my room. I walked down the hallway, holding my dress up so I didn't trip. I stood on the top stair above the foyer. It was full with everyone in the village plus many more. There's was only one person missing. Silas. I sighed and made my way down the stairs, people clapped and whistled as if I was a Broadway show. I stepped down onto the marble floor and the crowd parted to allow me through. "Thanks." I muttered as I passed people. Ash leaned up against a wall, he stared out at the sky. He wore a tux and may I say he was looking very handsome. His gaze traveled from the window to the guests walking around, then it finally landed on my. His gaze lingered there and he said nothing. He straightened out and walked over to me. Sephira suddenly jumped in front of me, blocking me from Ash. She was now wearing a purple strapless dress, it went to her knees. She had white heels on and her hair was done up in a bun. "He's a angel!" She shouted. "Fallen." He corrected. "An angel is a angel. What do you want with the princess.?" She asked. "A dance?" He cocked his head. She shook her head and crossed her arms. "Your an angel! The princess can't be involved with you." She said dismissively "Sephira he protected me from Dementia and he fell for me." I explained as I stepped past her. "I will dance with him and you can't say anything about it." I said softly. "Fine." She stared at Ash. 'I'm watching you." She said then stomped off. He looked at me. "Your about to laugh aren't you?" He asked, crossing his arms and raising his brow. I shook my head. "Will you dance with me?" He asked, giving me his arm. That's when I cracked. I bursted out laughing. "Is that a no?" He said moving his arm back to his side. "Sorry. I just have never danced with a guy and seriously you should have seen your face. You were totally scared of her." I stated. "I'll teach you and shut up, she is seriously scary. If you spent enough time in the village you would know her power." He said and grabbed my arm. I looked into his eyes as a slow song came on. I bit my lip and looked around. Everyone around us were swaying side to side, dancing with the one they loved and here I was standing here facing Ash. I shook my head. This didn't feel right, I wanted Silas here with me. It just isn't the same without him. Ash leaned in, his face came closer to mine. Our lips almost met, Should I pull away? This didn't feel right. I was pulled out of my thoughts when the gate's to the castle flew open. "Where is the princess!" A deep voice demanded to know. Ash's eyes looked past me and at the gate, his face flushed and his eye's widened. He was scared still.
