Chapter 1- Reality struckA Chapter by The Fallen
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The shadows surrounded me. The screams and cries for help echo in my ears. They stood over a helpless girl. Feeding off her soul while I was tied up to the bed. Watching and waiting. The girl stared at me, her green eyes pleading for help. I struggled against the chains, trying to free myself. The creatures bit down on her arms, blood trickled down onto the floor. They quickly cleaned it up. Was I next? Her helpless screams echoed in the dark room. No one was around. No one could help. I looked around, desperate for an escape. The creatures returned their attention to me. Destiny. They said with their harsh voices. I shut my eyes, attempting to shut them out. The attempt didn't work. They grabbed my arms. Digging their nails into me. I let out a cry of pain. Suddenly the scene changed. A soft hand caressed my scars from the hell hound. I opened my eyes to find a dark haired women singing softly. I watched her intently. She looked up at me with her red eyes. "Destiny." She murmured. Her words were soft and sweet. They comforted me instantly. She undid the chains and pulled me into her arms. "Mom?" I asked, the words rolled out of my mouth without a thought. "Yes it's me Destiny." She said softly then kissed my forehead. I Felt at ease. As if I had known her forever. "Where are you?" I asked her as I felt her fading away to nothing. "I'm in the inbetween, my dear. It's where immortals go when they die." She whispered. Her arms around me faded. "Mom don't go." I pleaded. She smiled softly. "I'm never gone. Search for me in times of need." She said. I jolted out of bed, clutching my chest. I looked around, where was she? Where did she go? I felt a tear run down my cheek. My breaths were short. The dream felt so real. I looked down at my scars and I could still feel her touch. So she's in the inbetween, huh? Maybe I can rescue her and my other mom. Then reality struck, how was I ever going to get there. What did the dream mean? I untangled myself from the blankets and made my way over to the balcony for the second time today.I needed to think © 2013 The FallenAuthor's Note
