A New Destiny Poem

To the skies I rise

To the pit's below

I go.

I spread my wings and fly.

The unbreakable spirit in me

Doesn't change a thing

I leave my past behind

She is all that is on my mind

I'm stuck in between

Whom to choose.

I have changed

Become the demon I was meant to be

They sacrificed so much

For a girl who changes faster then them.

Broken spririts can't keep me down

I push ahead, and defend

I will be there

I will rise

When she figures it all out

The choice will be clear

I shall be by her side

No matter who she happens to choose

The choice is mine

I will become the princess they need.

A perfect poem to place at the beginning of a novel. And it's about angels and demons? I must say, I am intrigued and more than a little excited. I shall definitely have to look into the book this piece is for. The lines of the demon, Silas, reminds me of Cole from the series "Charmed". He was my favorite character from that show.

Well actually...I put it in the book December 30th. I posted it on it's own before that LOL and I dont even remeber writing it. I was listening to music and suddenly I have this poem written out and im like...Is this what I have been trying to write for like ever!!! The next book has a poem to :P
