I scared my sophmore english teacher with this one...

If life knows no happiness

And happiness no life

If life has no love

And love no life

Then love, life, and happiness

Do not belong

In a world like this

With all its wars and hatred

A world where people live and die

Without knowing or caring about anyone

Their lives lived but not lived

In their own little dream worlds

Waiting for them to become real

Staying within them

Never wanting to face the harsh reality

That they are slowly letting themselves slip away

From this world into another

Where dreams come true for eveyone with a dream

But still there are some

That go even further into this dream world

Into a world beyond that dream world

Where few ever return from their world

To pass back into reality

So they die

Still dreaming, still thinking, and still knowing

That they are alone
