Say SomethingA Chapter by Olivia Barnes
I pick up my fork and take a bite of pasta. "May, I be excused?" I ask with my voice cracking. I have no answer but I stand up and walk away. Out the door, I start running. I huff and see my breath in the cold winter air. I don't know where I am, I don't not venture out often. "What now?" I here a deep voice say "Who are you?"It is too dark to see anything but I feel a cold hand take grasp onto my arm. "Don't touch me." that was supposed to come out in a scream but instead it's soft "Trust me" I don't know why but I let him lead me. He stops and I stumble into him. "Sorry" he says but I really don't know why. I see a bright flash "Why did you say what now." " Just follow that light onto that rock. I know I probably shouldn't but I do. "Why are you running away?" "I am not running away, why would you think that?" "Well normally when people storm out of of a house crying and start running looking confused I just assume that they are running away. Is that wrong?" "No. But I do think you are crazy." "Thank you." " I think I am gonna go now." "Go where?" "Home." "Okay, see you tomorrow then." "Who says I will see you again?" " I'll just see you tomorrow." "Can you at least tell me your name." " I might tomorrow night."
"Elena where have you been!" My mom has a worried expression on her face, "Why would you care?" and without even closing the door I walk to my room and right after me comes my sister. "What was that all about, since when do they start caring." "God, you just don't get it do you. We always have cared you just push everybody out, and once you do notice what do you do get mad." "Goodnight Annie. That means get out of my room." She rolls her eyes and walks away. "Oh and close the door." I add in and she dosn't slam it as I thought she would which tells me she isn't too mad.
