Tastie

Tastie

A Poem by Olivera

Dark mushrooms

On my plate.

Plants and cheese

On Winter's Day.

Heavy dish,

Italian Spell.

Not really sure what you want to say here, but I guess you're very fond of Italian food, you know, with the cheese and mushrooms. Quick read, but delightful because of it's light air.

Na set papiru koji stavljaju ispod tanjira - onom s panoramom grada. Jos sam te pitala da li da je poklonim restoranu, a ti si mi odgovorila da je sacuvamo za knjigu recepata... Eto.

I was actually inspired after great dinner I have had in the cosy gallery of Odyssey restaurant in Belgrade one Friday evening...

Hmm...reminded me of a child, maybe not wanting to eat something
left on my plate. Good poem.

This is almost haiku like in it's simplicity.
The few words you chose and the order you put them in brings a flood of feelings and pictures.
It's a very good poem
Thank you

My art work inspires my writing and vise versa. I consider haiku as very challenging poetic form and became quite attached to it since it gives me the opportunity of putting together observations i.. more..
