in the closet

in the closet

A Poem by oli the outcast
"

"she" "her"

"

"she"

its like a big sweater

its scratchy and hot

its not the right size

it suffocates you

and you look into

your closet to change

shirts

but end up being

shoved inside

and locked up

in there with those

terrible sweaters

and told youre not

to come out until

youve gotten used

to wearing the

wrong sizes

"her"

its like walking on

glass

the wrong pronouns

for the wrong person

whenever someone

uses them its like

a shard of glass

stabbed through

your foot

you cannot breathe

you want to
correct them

shout at them

you want to cry

you want to

sew up your wounds

with the right

pronouns

but instead

you see other people

walking on grass

insisting that

the glass is only there

because you think it is

About
I like writing. from hours of work, to a second of inspiration, a spark that starts a forest fire, or only lights a single candle. I like to write, and I hope you like what I write. more..
