letting go

letting go

A Poem by iron_rose
"

this is as dark as i can get, and i'm sorry but i can't resist surprising you! enjoy!

"

Sitting in the silent dark

My skin too numb to feel

Bloody fingers interlocked

My gaze as cold as steel

My withered chest it feels so full

It’s getting harder now to breathe

And though I sit on a solid floor

I start to sink beneath

I find myself falling

Falling ever so fast

Then I find myself wondering

Will I hit the ground at last?

Coz this endless longing and waiting

Is starting to get absurd

Though I cry and though I wail

I know I wouldn't be heard

For the distance between us

Which your own feet have made

Put you in a better place

But the price, only I have paid

Your dreams took you away

From where your promise lead us

Where love held us up

And our kisses fed us

But now you're not here

I’m left alone with this unbearable itch

I hope you're really happy now

You selfish little b...

Butterfly you!
