wings

This was written for an angel. <3

I lifted up my wary head

and I just had to catch my breath

for I have fallen speechless

at the very sight of you

And then it came to my surprise

an angel standing in the light

and God, you're just so beautiful

I can't believe you're mine

And so I opened up my eyes

and then I came to realize

the dream is already over 

but you're still here holding me tight

I found myself totally amazed

how could it be that I'm holding Heaven's grace

safe and warm

in these arms of mine?

So please hold me like you told me

let your wings carry me high

and while all the stars collide

I'll be flying away with you tonight

And tonight...I break away
